Mortgage Professionals
Hello, I am Cristina Amaya-Benetz, a dedicated Loan Officer at Bank of England in Collierville, TN. As the proud daughter of hard-working immigrant parents, I understand the value of perseverance and determination to achieve the American dream. My passion is empowering people, especially within the Latino community, to become homeowners. I believe everyone deserves clear guidance and confident support on their path to homeownership. I am always working alongside people to make their dream a reality.
I am a bilingual loan officer with Nations Lending. We have traditional loans and cater to ITIN loans with some very competitive rates on ITIN as we work with several brokers with for ITIN loans.
It is the mission of me and my teammates to help the Hispanic community know that they too can be home buyers even if they are ITIN; they can be 1099, W-2, bank statement loans, Tax return etc. they have many options to use for income. They have the opportunity to work with a bilingual loan officer who will walk them through the loan process and guide them with the process toward helping them become homeowners. Even if they are not ready to buy at this time, and this stands for traditional loans as well, we will coach them and what is needed to become a homebuyer so that even if they cannot buy right away, they can down the road.
It has been my experience that many Hispanic families are not aware that they can purchase or refinance a home with an ITIN
Real Estate Realtors & Agents
I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and speak both Spanish and English. I moved to Florida to IMG Academy early in high school in 2010 while pursuing my soccer career. After graduating, I was recruited by the University of Memphis to represent their soccer team. I have been in Memphis for the past 10 years growing as a member of the soccer and real estate community. My goal has been to connect with new people, assist buyers and sellers with their real estate needs, guide the Hispanic community through any housing market process, and keep my clients up to date with market information and home tips! I am always looking to find new ways to support the community - for this very reason, I am proud to be a part of the growth of youth soccer through personal training with the MAGIS Academy while also being active with local clubs and the University of Memphis. Supporting the community, providing values to children and adolescents through soccer and helping people as a real estate agent to find a place they can call “Home” are things that motivate me on a daily basis, fulfill me and make me happy.
The three most important steps in finding a home are:
1. Save and organize all types of financing.
2. Hire your Real Estate Agent.
3. Get pre-approved for a loan from a lender.
Hi Flor, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in 2005 as a leasing agent at Rivertown Square Apartments. I was 20 years old, a single mom with a 2-year-old daughter; we used to live on site of the apartment complex. I learned everything about the property management business from a private owner, Lorraine Pitre. While in management, I discovered a passion for helping the community by providing excellent customer service and assisting clients in translating for enrolling their children in school and everything else we could do to help. I used to teach English classes at night to our tenants. I saw the need for rent and buying, so my manager, family, and friends encouraged me to enter real estate. As I mentioned, I was a single parent, so my family played a massive part in helping me babysit in the afternoon so I could go to school. I received my real estate license and went on that journey in 2016. I have been working at Crye-Leike Realtors, where I can help buyers buy their houses. I take pride in helping the dream of purchasing a home into a reality and helping my clients accomplish the American dream of home ownership. We strive for honesty and hard work; anyone can become anything they wish with hard work, consistency, and integrity.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been challenging, but you can succeed with faith, consistency, and hard work. Some of the struggles were being a full-time employee, parent, and student while in school, lack of financial resources to become a full-time real estate employee, and, of course, it takes a while for people to know who you are and make a name for yourself.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. What can you tell our readers who might not be as familiar with your work?
